Sample Pricing & Policies

Does Focus Headwear charge a sample fee?
Yes. The standard sample fee is VND 400,000 or USD $15.00 per cap. This fee is fully refundable and deducted from the deposit invoice when bulk production is placed. Existing brand partners may be exempt.
What is the sample lead time?
7–10 days after all required materials and logos arrive at our Vietnam factory.
Do you ship samples internationally?
Yes, globally. Shipping is invoiced separately. The receiver is responsible for local duties and taxes.
Is there a fee for revised samples?
Yes. The fee varies by complexity — minor adjustments have a dramatically reduced cost.

Production Quantities & Pricing

Does ordering more reduce my per-unit price?
Yes. MOQ is 100 pieces (base pricing). 500 pieces gives excellent cost efficiency. 3,000+ pieces delivers the lowest unit cost through maximum fixed-cost dilution. Larger orders allow us to amortize fixed manufacturing costs across more units, resulting in highly competitive pricing for bulk and promotional merchandise.

What logo application and branding techniques do you offer?
Direct Embroidery: Standard, 3D, Punch Needle, Chain, Multilayer. Patches: Woven, Merrow, Leather Deboss/Emboss, PU Deboss, Rubber/PVC, Embroidery. Printing: Plastisol, Screen Print, Digital Print, Heat Emboss, Heat Transfer, Placement Print.
Do you offer custom retail packaging?
Yes — custom boxes, swing tickets, polybags, price labels, barcodes, RFID labels, hangers, clips, and joiners.
How do multiple logos impact cost?
A single low-detail logo in one position is most cost-effective. Multiple high-detail logos in various positions increase cost. We assess your design alongside order quantity and actively work with you to balance price and quality.
Do custom logo molds increase the sample fee?
Simple direct embroidery has no additional mold costs. Complex items like multi-color rubber patches require a mold fee during sampling. Once the first bulk order is placed, initial mold costs are deducted from the invoice total.
Can I customize the inner lining tape?
Yes. Custom lining tape printing incurs an upcharge based on print complexity and volume. For bulk orders of 3,000+ pieces this customization is included at no extra cost.

Materials & Sourcing in Vietnam

What materials can you source locally in Vietnam?
Vietnamese cotton, polyester, woven tapes, sweatbands, threads, CVC (Chief Value Cotton), and velcro.
Can you source custom hardware and trims?
Yes — buckles, clasps, jewels, ornaments, chains, rings, metal eyelets, and metal aglets.
What closure types do you offer?
Velcro, snapback, full elastic, metal clasps, and plastic clips. We can also open a new mold for a proprietary fastener design — charged strictly at cost with zero profit added. Allow an additional 14 days to open the mold.
Can you dye materials to custom brand colors?
Yes. Custom dyeing requires an additional 14 days during sampling but does not impact bulk lead times. No price increase for orders of 2,500–3,000+ caps. Smaller quantities incur a higher cost.
Customization strategy note
If custom logos, custom fits, and custom-dyed materials are all required, Focus Headwear initiates these processes simultaneously — not sequentially — to guarantee the most efficient lead time possible.
What performance and technical fabrics can you source?
Moisture-wicking blends, stretch fabrics, ripstop nylon and polyester, UPF sun-protection fabrics, highly breathable materials, and lightweight sports fabrics.

Fitting & Pattern Information

Do you have existing hat blocks I can use?
Yes. We have an extensive library of tested headwear patterns proven in Western markets including Australia, USA, and Europe. Using existing patterns is the most efficient way to reduce sample lead times.
Can you build a custom fit for my brand?
Yes. Our technical staff work from your measurements or a physical reference sample to build a proprietary fit. We first try to match with existing blocks then adjust to your exact specifications. Allow an additional 14 days on top of the standard 7–10 day sample lead time for a completely new pattern.
Will you sign an NDA for my custom designs?
Yes. Confidentiality is a core pillar of our long-term B2B relationships. We have zero tolerance for sharing clients' proprietary information, designs, or fits with any third parties.

WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), GRS (Global Recycled Standard) issued by Intertek Labs — we are authorised to issue Transaction Certificates (TCs) for orders using recycled materials. Also SMETA and BSCI certified.
Are your caps REACH compliant for the EU?
Yes. We conduct frequent materials testing prior to shipment to guarantee EU REACH compliance. We regularly ship to customers in the UK and Europe.
Do your hats meet Proposition 65 for the USA?
Yes. We conduct frequent testing to ensure materials and hardware meet California Proposition 65 safety regulations before any USA-bound export.
Do you have an internal QC team?

All chemical testing is conducted exclusively by independent, third-party international testing authorities — including Intertek, SGS, Bureau Veritas (BV), or any other accredited laboratory nominated by the client.

Our outdoor headwear integrates premium performance materials and highly functional design elements including: Sun & Heat Protection — UPF-rated fabrics for optimal sun protection, combined with ultra-lightweight materials, perforated ventilation panels, and moisture-wicking sweatbands. Can you handle large-scale volume production?
Yes. Our Vietnam factory is purpose-built for high-volume production runs. We have an experienced English-speaking account management team dedicated to high-volume B2B clients across the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

Yes — we provide full Certificate of Origin documentation to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
Do you offer warehousing for completed goods?

Which shipping terms do you support?
FOB from Vietnam is our preferred term. We also support DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) and 3PL drop-shipping direct to B2B accounts or D2C customers.
